Marketplace Rules
These are the working marketplace rules for ReefDock listings, sales, auctions, and trades. They are written to give buyers and sellers clear operating expectations and should be treated as the platform rulebook until a formal legal review replaces them.
General marketplace rules
- •Listings must accurately describe the item, condition, species, size, and any known issues.
- •Sellers may list only items they actually control and are able to fulfill.
- •Counterfeit, misleading, unsafe, unlawful, or prohibited items are not allowed.
- •Users may not manipulate bids, sales, feedback, or claims through fake accounts or coordinated activity.
- •ReefDock may remove listings, cancel orders, or hold payouts when fraud or safety review is required.
Fixed-price sales and classifieds
- •A fixed-price listing is a commitment to sell the listed item at the posted terms if a buyer checks out successfully.
- •Sellers must keep quantity, pricing, shipping options, and local-pickup settings accurate.
- •If a seller cannot fulfill an item after sale, ReefDock may apply cancellation restrictions, fees, or account review.
- •Buyer remorse, wrong-fit situations, and other non-platform issues are handled according to ReefDock cancellation and refund policy in effect at the time of the order.
Auction rules
- •Auction bids are binding once placed.
- •ReefDock uses server-side timing to determine final bid order and auction outcome.
- •Sniping is allowed. ReefDock does not extend auctions automatically to block late bids.
- •Sellers may not shill bid, coordinate fake bids, or otherwise manipulate auction outcomes.
- •Seller cancellations or forced endings of auctions may be restricted, logged, and reviewed by ReefDock.
Trade rules
- •Trades must be described honestly, including what each side is expected to send or exchange.
- •If shipping is involved, each party is responsible for fulfilling exactly what was agreed.
- •If meetup or local exchange is used, users are responsible for choosing a safe handoff arrangement.
- •ReefDock may require additional messaging, evidence, or admin review when a trade breaks down.
Livestock shipping rules
- •All livestock must ship overnight. No exceptions.
- •Sellers are responsible for weather awareness, insulated packaging, and safe livestock handling.
- •If a category is livestock, ReefDock may restrict service levels, shipping timing, and payout timing accordingly.
- •Dry goods, tanks, and equipment must not be mislabeled as livestock or inherit livestock-only rules by mistake.
Claims, feedback, and enforcement
- •Users should attempt to resolve normal order issues through ReefDock order messaging and status flows first.
- •False claims, abusive feedback, or refund manipulation may result in account restrictions.
- •ReefDock may request photos, tracking records, packaging proof, or other evidence during claim review.
- •Admin decisions made for fraud, payout protection, shipping abuse, or safety enforcement may override normal automated flows.
