What is Reef Trak?
Reef Trak is a reef-keeping companion app for tracking aquarium parameters, livestock, equipment, feedings, and maintenance. It is built by the same developer who builds ReefDock.
What "ReefTrak-verified" means on a listing
When a ReefDock seller maintains a Reef Trak tank log, eligible livestock listings can publish the source tank's parameters — alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, salinity, temperature ranges — as part of the listing. Buyers see not just "here's a coral," but "here are the conditions this coral has been thriving in for months."
This matters because the single biggest predictor of livestock survival is parameter match between source and destination tanks. A coral grown in low-nutrient SPS-style conditions will struggle in a softie-friendly nutrient-rich tank, and vice versa. ReefTrak-verified listings make that mismatch visible before the buyer clicks Buy.
How to link your accounts
- Sign up for Reef Trak (free) and log your tank.
- Sign in to ReefDock with the same Google account. The accounts link automatically.
- When you create a livestock listing, pick the source tank from your ReefTrak tanks. The listing publishes with verified parameters attached.
For buyers: why this is honest
ReefTrak parameters on a listing are pulled from the seller's live tank log, not marketing copy the seller typed in a text box. The data is the same data the seller uses to manage their tank. That is the unique unfair advantage ReefDock has over generic marketplaces.
