- Mix one BRS Pharma Calcium Chloride 1-gallon pouch into a clean 1-gallon container: fill the container 4/5 full with RO/DI or distilled water, add the full pouch, shake briefly, top off with RO/DI, shake again, and wait until fully dissolved before dosing. For general calcium adjustments, test current calcium, enter current/target calcium and system volume in the BRS Reef Calculator using BRS Calcium Liquid Solution (New Pharma Pouch), then dose the calculated solution slowly into a high-flow area. Keep calcium changes to 50 ppm or less per day. For daily dosing, correct calcium/alkalinity/magnesium to the desired baseline, wait 5 days, retest calcium at the same time of day, calculate the 5-day solution requirement with the BRS Reef Calculator, divide by 5, and use that as the starting daily dose. Adjust daily dose by about 10% down if calcium rises or 10% up if calcium falls.
