About Candy Cane Coral

Caulastraea furcata forms branching colonies with cylindrical, bifurcating (fork-shaped) corallites. Polyps are typically red, white, or orange with contrasting stripes or bands, resembling candy canes. Individual polyps remain extended during the day and feed actively.
