Fungia fungites is a solitary, disc-shaped coral with a flat to slightly domed top surface. It displays vibrant coloration ranging from tan, orange, yellow, green, or red, often with contrasting mouth or tentacle colors. The underside features radial septa (ridge-like structures) that are highly distinctive.
