Spondylus varius is a colorful spiny oyster with a thick, ridged shell. It displays variable coloration in shades of orange, yellow, red, or purple, often with radiating ridges and prominent spines protruding from the valve edges.
Compatibility
Peaceful with all fish and invertebrates. Requires strong, unidirectional water flow and stable water conditions. Not suitable with aggressive detritivores or invertebrates that may cause damage.

Filter feeder requiring strong water flow and phytoplankton supplementation. Benefits from regular dosing of liquid phytoplankton or specialized zooplankton foods.
