About Blackstreak Surgeonfish
Acanthurus nigricauda is a moderately large surgeonfish with an olive-brown to yellowish-green body and a distinctive black vertical stripe or "streak" running from the gill cover toward the tail. The caudal fin is yellow, and the fish possesses the characteristic scalpel-like venomous spine on each side of the caudal peduncle typical of tangs.
