The Golden-Spotted Angelfish is a medium-sized pomacanthid with a deep, laterally compressed body. Coloration is predominantly dark blue to blue-black with distinctive golden or yellow spots scattered across the face, body, and fins. Adults display yellow accents on the pectoral and dorsal fin edges.
