About Spot-banded Butterflyfish

The Spot-banded Butterflyfish is a compact, disc-shaped fish with a distinctive white or cream-colored body marked by vertical black bands. The most recognizable feature is a large black blotch or "spot" on the upper rear body, and the face typically displays a dark mask through the eye. The dorsal and anal fins contain yellow or orange pigmentation, and the tail fin shows white with dark edges.
