The Rock Beauty Angelfish is a striking pomacanthid with a bright yellow face and anterior body, a dark purple to black posterior body and fins, and a distinctive orange ring around the eye. The body is laterally compressed and oval, reaching up to 9 inches in length, with a steep, rounded forehead profile.
