About Mimic Saddle Puffer
A small puffer with a rounded body that reaches about 3.5 inches maximum. Coloration is tan to yellowish-brown with distinctive dark saddle-like blotches on the back and a pattern resembling the larger saddle puffer (Canthigaster valentini), which it mimics for protection. The body lacks the prominent spines of some pufferfishes.
