About Purple Queen Anthias

Males display brilliant purple-magenta coloration on the body with yellow-orange dorsal and caudal fins; females are orange-red overall. Both sexes are slender with a forked tail and reach up to 5 inches in length.

Feed small frozen planktonic foods (mysis shrimp, copepods, enriched brine shrimp) 2–3 times daily. In established reef aquaria with active plankton populations, they will supplement by picking zooplankton from the water column. High-quality pellets designed for small planktivores may be accepted.
