About Paddleflap Scorpionfish
A cryptic, ambush predator with elaborate fan-like pectoral fins (the "paddleflaps") and venomous dorsal spines. Coloration varies from reddish-brown to pale with mottled patterns, allowing it to blend with reef substrates.
